Sidzel Ramirez-Figueroa

Class of 2019

Sidzel joined SquashDrive's first BMA cohort way back in 2011 when she was in the fifth grade. She is now finishing up her Junior year of high school and will be one of SquahDrive's inaugural class of graduates next year!

Sidzel has had incredible success during her seven years at SquashDrive. In seventh grade, she was awarded a scholarship to attend the Phillips Exeter Summer Academy for five weeks in New Hampshire. During eighth grade, SquashDrive helped Sidzel's family consider private school options for high school, hoping to find a school for Sidzel that would challenge her significant academic abilities. Sidzel received a generous scholarship to Maybeck High School, a private college prep school in Berkeley, where she will graduate from next May.

Sidzel is passionate about squash and is an anchor member of SquashDrive's elite team. She is set on playing squash in college and hopes to attend a school with strong forensic science and photography programs, to support her dream of being a crime scene photographer. Sidzel loves travel and plans to study abroad while in college. She is motivated by a desire to succeed not just for herself, but to support her family and be a role model for her nieces and nephews.
