SquashDrive student-athletes and staff alike look forward to spring break programming for its fun and adventure, and this year’s camp was no exception!
The week was comprised of a combination of squash drilling and playing, academics, community service, enriching field trips and exploring San Francisco. Highlights included playing squash at the University Club, swimming, visiting the AutoDesk Gallery and tours of Stanford University as well as Google’s Mountain View Campus!
On the academics side, SquashDrivers learned about how to make a meal delicious and nutritious. The kids were challenged to create a meal, including appetizer, entree, desert, and drink, that was appealing to customers (aka each other) AND stuck to some strict dietary guidelines. They then came up with a restaurant concept and name and designed menus for their meal! Prizes were given for most customers (based on voting with stickers), best poster design, and least sugar used.
Using www.fooducate.com, their own creativity, and a lot of construction paper, the students produced some amazing ideas.
