At the start of the year, 8th grader Sidzel was asked to “imagine her best self” as part of a school exercise to map out her road to college and beyond. What did she envision she would be thinking, feeling, and doing by the end of this year, the end of high school, and after?
We are happy to report that Sidzel is well on her way to achieving the goals on which she set her sights!
In April, she was selected for Philip Exeter Academy’s rigorous summer school. Through this program, Sidzel will have the opportunity to spend 5 weeks on Exeter’s campus in New Hampshire taking classes, participating in extracurricular activities and making new friends. She is especially excited for the academic session called, “Exeter CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, as it plays into her interest in science and her desire to be in the FBI.
Next, at the end of March, Sidzel was accepted into a prestigious college preparatory high school, Maybeck. We could not be more proud of where Sidzel’s hard work and dedication has taken her. Congratulations, Sidzel!
