SquashDrive high achiever, Fernanda, just took the first step in making her career dream true. She has long shown interest in becoming an immigration lawyer and, this weekend, along with other middle and high school students, was able to attend a Day At Law school, hosted by UC Hastings College of Law in San Francisco.
Started by La Raza Law Students Association, Black Law Students Association, and the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal in conjunction with the San Francisco Public Defender’s Office in 2004, the day introduces youth to law school, featuring interactive simulated law classes, a mock trial, and discussions about the significance of a higher education.
Thanks to our wonderful volunteer, Erica, for making this special experience possible!
